The Garden of England - the Stunning Weald of Kent

This fun scenic hike starts from Pluckley, a charming village in rural Kent. We take you through rolling grasslands, miles of orchards, and past chalk escarpments. This gentle landscape has a relatively flat terrain.

Located within Pluckley is Dering woods, a conservation area protected by Woodlands Trust which is home to more than 25 species of butterfly and rare beetles and renowned for its stunning display of spring bluebells and wood anemones. This area is a haven for wildlife and we will be gifted with amazing views of the plains, lovely orchards, green fields, hay meadows, and well-wooded farmland.
This area was the location of the famous Darling Buds of May series and the starting village happens to be the spookiest village in Britain, so we might even bump into some ghosts at the end of hike while we have a meal in the local pub.
